Occupational Therapy Month!

Celebrating Occupational Therapy Month

By Danielle McClelland Shrimpton, COTA/L, Rehab Resources

Occupational Therapy has been a profession for over 100 years and April is when we celebrate Occupational Therapy month.  This long standing profession provides benefits to so many people! No matter what setting or environment, Occupational Therapy practitioners have a holistic perspective in which the focus is on adapting the environment and/or task to fit the person, and the person is an integral part of the therapy team. Here are five illustrations that demonstrate just that and offer perspective on a day in the life of an OT or OTA:

Help us celebrate and promote the Occupational Therapy profession by recognizing an Occupational Therapy practitioner (or more than one) this month for all they do!
